By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Javier Castellanos, councilor in the Belize City Council (BCC), visited the Port Loyola Library to read stories to children.

The Belize City Council noted that on Good Friday “our very own, Councillor Javier Castellanos visited the Port Loyola Public Library to spend some time with the children of the constituency.”

The Council said the visit was to close off Child Stimulation Month and hence “Councillor Castellanos stepped in as this month’s story reader for the Doorstep Tales Activities which features a live reading and a fun arts and crafts session provided to the local children.”

Councillor Castellanos also gave out kites for the youths to have fun in an outdoor activity that does not require too much physical contact.

The BCC said Castellanos enjoyed his time spent with the City’s young residents and wishes all families a safe and happy Easter Holiday.
