Belize Weather: Good Friday will be wet in some areas, cool for most

By BBN Staff: Relatively moist conditions prevail over the area. Skies will be cloudy with sunny breaks today along with a few showers and possible isolated thunderstorms developing mainly along the coastal and southern areas. Partly cloudy tonight with a few showers, mainly in the south, decreasing.

High temperatures are 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 86 degrees inland, and 74 in the hills; tonight, it will be 74 degrees along the coast, 64 inland, and 62 in the hills.

Winds are from the north to northeast at 10 to 20 knots and the gusty, sea state is moderate. A small craft caution will go into effect this afternoon and it is likely to be upgraded to a warning later tonight.

Tides were low at five minutes to seven this morning, followed by a high tide at two minutes to 1 p.m. this afternoon, and a low at 8:45 p.m. tonight. The sun sets at six minutes past six this evening and rises at 5:46 a.m. tomorrow morning.

The extended outlook is for partly cloudy skies with isolated showers expected on Saturday and Saturday night.
