Belize Weather: Sunny skies return briefly but rain comes later

By BBN Staff: A northeasterly airflow dominates our weather. The National Meteorological Service says skies will be sunny today with a few cloudy spells. Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy becoming cloudy at times. Shower activity will be isolated today and tonight. Expect a few early morning showers mainly south on Sunday.

High temperatures are 83 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 86 degrees inland and 74 in the hills. Tonight, it will be 72 degrees along the coast, 66 inland and 60 in the hills.

Winds are from the north to northeast at 10 to 20 knots; sea state is moderate to rough. A small craft caution is in effect for occasionally gusty winds and locally rough seas.

Low tide is at 7:42 a.m. and 10:01 p.m. and a high tide comes at 1:57 p.m. this afternoon.

The sun sets at six past six this evening and rises at a quarter to six Sunday morning.

The outlook for Sunday and Sunday night is for cloudy spells along with a few showers.
