11-year-old boy dies after concrete wall fell on him

By Benjamin Flowers: An 11-year-old boy from San Roman Village, Corozal District, is dead after a concrete wall fell on him yesterday.

Police say that Jamir Samir Marin was in a hammock along with 30-year-old  Norely Nayari Marin when the wall fell on them. The hammock was tied to the wall which formed a part of an unfinished concrete house.

Villagers came to their aid, removed the wall, and transported them to the Corozal Community Hospital where Jamir Marin died while undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, Norely Marin received various degrees of injuries to her body and was transported to the Northern Regional Hospital for medical treatment.
