Body found in Belize City identified as that of 71-year-old watchman Lincoln Alexander Brown

By Benjamin Flowers: Police have identified the body found floating in the water near the San Pedro Belize Water Taxi terminal this morning as one Lincoln Alexander Brown, also known as Lincoln Pantin.

Police say that when he was last seen he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol staggered onto a boat. He was later seen in the sea close to the vessel, struggling to get out of the water. He was assisted by some fishermen who were passing by in a skiff. The fishermen pulled him from the water and placed him on the dock where he reportedly passed away.

His body was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) morgue where he was pronounced dead. Police also said that there were no visible signs of injuries observed on his body and that there is no foul play is suspected.

A post-mortem examination is pending.
