Shootout and high speed chase in Roaring Creek village

By BBN Staff: Earlier today, Breaking Belize News (BBN) reported that a vehicle involved in a police chase this afternoon overturned while trying to escape from the police. 

Additional information obtained by BBN indicate that the high speed chase followed a shootout that occurred between police and some men in Roaring Creek village.

Police were in pursuit of the Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in Roaring Creek when the vehicle crashed into the concrete fence of a residential property in Roaring Creek.

The vehicle’s occupants, who reportedly include individuals residing in Cotton Tree village, fled the scene, but were caught by police shortly afterwards.
