First time since July 2020, no new case of COVID-19 detected in Belize

By Zoila Palma: Today is the first time in 2021 that there is no new COVID-19 case detected in Belize for 24 hours.

Since March of 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in Belize, the Ministry of Health and Wellness daily testing reports update the nation on the number of new confirmed cases and active cases.

In July of 2020, BBN reported that for a few days, no new case was detected as testing continued.

The Ministry has now launched a vaccination campaign in an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19 in Belize.

To date, over 24,000 Belizeans have received their first shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
