Governor General says ‘Farewell’

By Zoila Palma: Today, Governor General of Belize, Sir Colville Young tendered his resignation via a letter to Prime Minister John Briceno.

The GG says that he is resigning effective April 30, 2021.

“It has been an honour and great privilege to serve our nation during my term of office and it is my hope that I have made a difference in the lives of many, a difference for good, especially the young people of Belize,” Young said.

The GG thanked all the successive governments that have allowed him to render service.
