By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health and Wellness has launched an investigation into a man death, who reportedly died hours after he took the COVID-19 AstraZeneca vaccine, Krem News reports.

The 53-year-old man had taken the shot hours before in Belize City.

While it is unknown if he had any underlying issues, health officials confirmed that an investigation has been launched.

To date, 23, 958 people in Belize have received their first shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The Ministry is yet to issue an official statement.
