Inland temperatures soar to 100 degrees Fahrenheit; heat alert in effect

By Zoila Palma: The National Meteorological Service informs that mainly warm and dry weather will continue.

The 24-hour forecast is for sunny and hot weather today.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 100 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 90 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 76 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

There is a heat alert in effect. Residents are advised to remain hydrated and avoid outdoor activities as much as possible.

 The extended forecast is for sunny and hot weather conditions to continue.
