Belize City house destroyed by fire

By Benjamin Flowers: A house located on Pitter Street in Belize City was destroyed by fire yesterday.

Authorities say that the fire broke out sometime around 1:00 a.m. The Belize National Fire Service arrived to find the wooden structure completely engulfed in flames.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze but the house and contents were completely destroyed. No one was injured due to the ordeal.

The value of the home and contents have yet to be determined.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
