By Zoila Palma: Today, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology informed that 55 schools including Pre, Primary and High re-opened for face-to-face classes today.
Those schools have been verified by the Ministry as being ready for face-to-face classes.
Through the Ministry’s phased re-opening, 161 schools have already applied to re-open on May 10, 2021.
The process includes visits from representatives of their respective district education centers to verify the school’s readiness so that they may be approved for re-opening.
The Ministry says that the visits are ongoing to ensure that all schools are ready for the safe return of teachers and students.
With relation to class time, the Ministry noted that schools will implement varied approaches, with different schedules and managements have been urged to remain aware of the financial constraints.
The Ministry says this is an opportunity for schools to put in action their Learning Continuity Plans and be prepared for September 2021.
