By Benjamin Flowers: A San Pedro fisherman is recovering at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) after being shot and stabbed over the weekend.
Mattew Jonathan Moses, 42, told police he was sleeping in a Hammock at Rocky Point when he heard two men talking. While trying to get out of the hammock, one of the men shot him, causing him to fall out of the hammock. While he was on the ground, the other man came and stabbed him then both men then fled the area.
He was taken to the Dr. Otto Rodriguez Polyclinic with wounds to the body, and later transferred to the KHMH, where he is listed as being in stable condition.
Police are investigating the matter.
