Prime Minister and Minister of Health tour the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital

By Benjamin Flowers: Today, Prime Minister John Briceno along with Minister of Health and Wellness Michel Chebat visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital with technical staff from the health ministry as part of a familiarization tour of the facility.

The Board of Management of the KHMH Authority led the ministers through the various units throughout the hospital and explained their various functions in the overall delivery of tertiary healthcare to the public.

“The tour was lead by Chairman of the Board Dr. Andre Sosa and CEO Michelle Hoare. The tour commenced with a donation from MOHW of 13 hospital beds and two defibrillators as part of support for service provision in critical care and general patient care areas. Areas visited included COVID Unit, ICU, Physiotherapy, Specialist Clinic etc,” the KHMHA said.

The Prime Minister also met with management and KHMH Union in an effort to address concerns and strengthen the relationship that government has with the hospital authority.
