Social Security Board union elects new executive

By Zoila Palma: The Social Security Board (SSB) union has elected a new executive for the 3-year term from 2021 to 2024.

The Union’s new Chief Executive Representative is Ella Waight, her Deputy is Phillipa McDonald and the new Union Scriber is Jaqueline Medrano Cruz.

“This team of ladies will be supported by almost two hundred union members at the Social Security Board during a difficult time in our country,” the union said.

The union said that the new executive comes with decades of union-related experiences that expand to their leadership roles at the Christian Workers Union and the National Trade Union Congress of Belize.

“ We wish them the best and pledge our support to them,” the union said.
