By Zoila Palma: Denmark’s health authorities confirmed that the nation’s vaccination campaign will continue without the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Last week, authorities reported finding a link between the vaccine and rare blood clot cases.
Meanwhile, several countries including France and Germany have resumed the administering of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The Associated French Press reports that Denmark is in the process of re-opening schools, restaurants and malls.
So far, almost 1 million people in Denmark have received their first shot of COVID-19 vaccine.
Seventy seven percent received their dose of Pfizer-BioNTech’s vaccine, 7.8% with Moderna’s and 15.3% with AstraZeneca’s, before it was suspended.
