Police investigate shooting in La Democracia Village

By Zoila Palma: Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred shortly after noontime on Wednesday in La Democracia Village.

Jamielee Arnold, 18, told police that she and Gary Clark were walking through a dirt road in the village, 2 armed men approached them and tried to rob them.

However, Clark took out a machete in an attempt to defend themselves and one of the culprits fired a shot toward them hitting Arnold.

Arnold was taken for medical treatment.

An investigation is ongoing.
