By Aaron Humes: It’s been hot all week, and don’t expect any relief from the skies this weekend, says the National Meteorological Service.
The forecast remains as it has all this week, sunny all day, partly cloudy in the evening and little to no rainfall expected.
High temperatures are 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 98 degrees inland and 86 in the hills; then tonight, 80 along the coast, 74 for inland destinations and 66 in the hills.
A heat alert has been issued advising residents, especially of inland areas, to stay hydrated and not spend too much time on outdoor activities.
Winds are from the east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots; sea state is choppy, however a small craft caution may go into effect tonight for occasional gusty winds and rough seas.
Tides are low at 6:02 a.m. and 7:29 p.m. and high at 11:53 am. The Sun sets at 6:09 p.m. this evening and rises again at 5:35 a.m. Saturday.
It will be fair, hot and dry through Saturday and likely for the next few days, so throw some shade and stay hydrated.
