By Zoila Palma: Guyana’s COVID-19 death toll is now at 265. The country reported 2 more COVID-19 related deaths while Barbados and Belize are reporting additional cases of the virus.
According to the Jamaica Observer, the patients are an 81-year-old female from Region 3 (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara) and a 64-year-old man from Region 4 (Demerara-Mahaica).
The Guyanese authorities are urging everyone to observe the protocols to protect themselves and their loved ones. Emergency measures are in effect until April 30.
In Barbados, 4 men and 8 women are the latest COVID-19 positive patients.
There are now 77 people in isolation in Barbados.
Meanwhile, there are currently 67 active cases of COVID-19 in Belize.
