San Isidro Resident loses life in traffic accident

By Zoila Palma: Jose Pop, 27, of San Isidro village, Toledo, lost his life yesterday in a traffic accident.

Pop lost his life after he was knocked down by 33 year old Gerardo Arevale. Arevale told police that he was driving his GMC truck when he tried to overtake a bus that was parked on the side of the road passengers exited.

Arevale says that he was passing the bus when Pop allegedly ran in front of his vehicle and was hit.

Pop was taken to the Southern Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A post mortem is scheduled to be conducted on the body.

Investigation is ongoing.
