Belize weather: The heat is (back) on

By Aaron Humes: It’s a return to mainly fair and warm conditions countrywide after the weekend’s rains, according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies will be generally sunny with a few cloudy spells today and partly cloudy tonight. Showers will be isolated except for isolated afternoon thunderstorms in the mountains.

High temperatures are 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 98 degrees inland and 84 in the hills. Tonight it will be 79 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 73 degrees inland and 68 in the hills. Residents particularly of inland areas are advised to remain hydrated and avoid too much outdoor work.

Winds are from the east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots and sea state is choppy.

Tides are low at 9:15 a.m. and 11:40 p.m. and high at 3:32 p.m. The Sun sets at 6:10 p.m. and rises at 5:32 a.m. Wednesday.

Isolated showers or thunderstorms will develop mainly over inland areas on Wednesday then over the south at night time.
