Companies Registry reassigned from the Attorney General’s Ministry

By Benjamin Flowers: The Government of Belize announced today that the Belize Companies and Corporate Affairs Registry (BCCAR) is being reassigned from the Attorney General’s (AGs) Ministry.

A notice from the AG’s Ministry said that the BCCAR was transferred to the portfolio of the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment. The change, though just announced, is said to have effect from January 26.

Sources tell BBN that the move has been in the workings for over a year.
