Two BDF officers and a Coast Guard receive Taiwan Defense Scholarship

By Zoila Palma: Belize Defence Force (BDF) Major Gilbert Myvett, BDF Cadet Reevie Ysaguirre and Belize Coast Guard Seaman Jason Soriano are the recipients of the Taiwan Defense Scholarship.

The officers were nominated by the Ministry of National Defence and Border Security to study at Taiwan’s Army Command and General Staff College, Army and Naval Academies respectively.

Taiwan’s Ambassador to Belize, David Kuan-Chou Chien presented the certificates to the awardees and gave them his best wishes for academic success and enjoyment of life in Taiwan.
