By Zoila Palma: The Public Service Union (PSU) and the Belize National Teachers Union (BNTU) today continue with their daily protest activities to express their discontent with the salary cut.
The PSU has planned for today ‘financial stress’ which means that they will get medical and mental health check-ups at public clinics and hospitals.
Meanwhile, the BNTU will boycott SMART and BTL today.
For Thursday and Friday, PSU will host a rotating budget debate demonstration.
The BNTU will host a highway demonstration on Thursday and on Friday, the educators will commence strike action.
“Teachers will walk out of their classes to begin the strike,” BNTU noted.
