Benque artists celebrate Book Week 2021 with online literary festival

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Community of Artists for Cultural and Historical Endeavors (CACHE) said this week they are holding the post-COVID-19 online literary festival in partnership with the Belize Book Industry Association (BBIA), the National Library Service in Benque Viejo del Carmen, CUBOLA Publishers, and BRC Printing Ltd.

CACHE Benque said their activities which started on Tuesday, April 20, and end on Saturday, April 24, include:

(1) Online Workshops shared by partners.

(2) Zoom panel of professionals recounting the process of book publishing on Friday, April 23, at 9:00 am at the Benque Viejo Public Library.

(3) Literary Evening/Red Lounge at Wildfire Artzmosphere, San Ignacio, on Friday, April 23, at 7pm.

(4) Reading Competition held at the Benque Viejo del Carmen Library Service Facility on Saturday, April 24, at 9:00 am.

Cache Benque said participation in their reading contest is open to young people of ages 12-20.
