Ministry of Labour using online platform to bring employers and job seekers together

By Benjamin Flowers: The Ministry of the Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour, and Local Government is inviting job seekers to use its online Employment Services System ESS.

The Ministry issued the invitation today, saying that those looking for a job, as well as employers looking for positions to be filled, are encouraged to utilize the government platform (https://employmentservices.mlgrd.gov.bz/).

The ESS, which launched in mid-March, was designed to be a highly secured online system, which allows for the collection and processing of unemployment information. The system captures and processes vacancy information from employers and matches it with the education, experience and skills of those who are job hunting.

At the launch of the ESS, Ministry CEO Valentino Shal said that the system, which was developed by the Central Information Technology Office (CITO), is expected to play a pivotal role in balancing labour supply and demand as employment opportunities are to be created to fill gaps in the different sectors of the economy.
