No leads in the murder investigation of Kevaughn Wade

By Benjamin Flowers: A man was gunned down in Punta Gorda last night, and police are trying to find out the circumstances that lead to his murder.

Kevaughn Wade was sitting on a veranda at a house near the entrance of Punta Gorda Town around 7:45 p.m., when someone in all black came from the direction of Courts and fired multiple shots, according to police reports.

Wade received a shot to the chest and another to the chin. Authorities arrived on the scene shortly after and took him to the Punta Gorda Hospital for treatment; however, he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police have no suspects at this time but have an ongoing investigation into the matter.
