By Rubén Morales Iglesias: NICH gets $10,000 from Taiwan’s Central American Trade Office to commission videos to promote Belize.
The Embassy of Belize in R.O.C (Taiwan) said it is “partnering with the Central American Trade Office (CATO) in Taiwan to support the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH) with a check of ten thousand Belize dollars to commission through this institute a few Belizean artists to produce music videos highlighting the peoples, cultures, and natural wonders of Belize; and/or the relationship between Belize and Taiwan, that will debut during our Belize’s Independence Day festivities here in Taiwan.”
The Belize Embassy in Taiwan said the initiative should open the way for Belizean artists to reach a wider international audience while promoting Belize worldwide.
The Belize Embassy said that it is “committed to continuing support(ing) cultural exchange and development between Belize and Taiwan.”
Belizean artists who would like more information may contact Ms. Kim Vasquez at NICH, firstname.lastname@example.org
