Shooting victims at Cayo junction identified

By Aaron Humes: Police have named the two men shot Saturday evening while trying to hitchhike back to Belize City.

Twenty-three-year-old Tristan Popper, shot to the left side of his hip, and 21-year-old Tyreke Goff, shot to the right foot, are both from the Pickstock Street area.

Both are presently in treatment at hospital.

According to police, Popper and Goff were trying to find a ride back east after their vehicle broke down on the highway.

That is when a black-painted vehicle passed and someone fired three gun shots at them from inside.

Police investigations continue.
