Weekend sees 25 new COVID-19 cases, 1 new death

By Aaron Humes: Belize recorded 25 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend and another death, according to official statistics from the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The total number of deaths countrywide stands at 322, with 107 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 and another 105 under investigation.

17 persons have recovered for a total of 12,185 of 12,624 overall cases.

Three persons remain hospitalized and one in intensive care.

With the number of cases creeping back up, Belizeans are reminded to continue wearing masks in public, continuously washing and sanitizing their hands, and maintain social distancing of six feet where possible.
