House destroyed by fire in Belize City

By Zoila Palma: Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a plycem home on Jane Usher Boulevard in Belize City.

Around 2:10 pm, a neighbor reported noticing the smoke coming from the house. As a result, officials from the fire department were called to the scene to extinguish the fire.

The neighbor told authorities that she has not seen the owner of the house since 2 weeks ago when he left for Dangriga.

The house and all its contents were destroyed by the fire.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Investigation continues.
