Over 680,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Caribbean

By Zoila Palma: As of today, there have been 688, 901 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Caribbean, Loop reports.

Popular destinations including Belize are still grappling with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Countries are engaged in their vaccination campaign in an effort to bring some form of normalcy to their residents.

The following is the total list of COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic:

Dominican Republic- 265,403 cases, 3459 deaths, 222,174 recoveries

Puerto Rico- 114,577 cases, 2279 deaths

Cuba- 102,441 cases, 597 deaths, 96,322 recovered

Jamaica- 45,145 cases, 761 deaths, 20,626 recovered 

French Guiana- 19,004 cases, 100 deaths, 9995 recovered

Guadeloupe- 13,669 cases, 185 deaths, 2242 recovered

Haiti- 12,999 cases, 253 deaths, 12,142 recovered

Guyana- 12,754 cases, 287 deaths, 10,880 recovered

Belize- 12,624 cases, 322 deaths, 12,185 recovered

Curacao- 12,129 cases, 105 deaths, 10,916 recovered

Martinique- 10,611 cases, 68 deaths, 98 recovered

Aruba- 10,555 cases, 98 deaths, 10,211 recovered

Bahamas- 10,220 cases, 198 deaths, 9326 recovered

Suriname- 10,081 cases, 201 deaths, 9139 recovered

Trinidad and Tobago- 9796 cases, 159 deaths, 8228 recovered

Saint Lucia- 4502 cases, 73 deaths, 4327 recovered

Barbados- 3828 cases, 44 deaths, 3746 recovered

US Virgin Islands- 3090 cases, 27 deaths, 2996 recovered

Turks and Caicos- 2376 cases, 17 deaths, 2326 recovered

Bermuda- 2357 cases, 24 deaths, 1724 recovered

Sint Maarten- 2220 cases, 27 deaths, 2181 recovered

St Vincent and the Grenadines- 1844 cases, 11 deaths, 1711 recovered

 Saint Martin- 1720 cases, 12 deaths, 1399 recovered

Bonaire- 1528 cases, 15 deaths, 1404 recovered

Antigua and Barbuda- 1232 cases, 32 deaths, 1014 recovered

 Saint Barthelemy- 958 cases, 1 death, 462 recovered

Cayman Islands- 541 cases, 2 deaths, 521 recovered

British Virgin Islands- 194 cases, 1 death, 183 recovered

Dominica- 173 cases, 171 recovered

Grenada- 160 cases, 1 death, 157 recovered 

Anguilla- 80 cases, 29 recovered

Saint Kitts and Nevis- 44 cases, 44 recovered

Montserrat- 20 cases, 1 death, 19 recovered
