Prime Minister Johnny Briceno: New Government met a ‘perfect storm’

By Zoila Palma: Today, on Love FM’s Morning Show, Prime Minister John Briceno said that his administration met a ‘perfect storm’ when they assumed office in November 2020.

“We were excited to get into Government and that people gave us the confidence to go in and fix what has been going wrong and move the country forward. We knew it was bad but we did not know how bad it would have been,” Briceno said.

PM Briceno added that upon entering office, his administration realized how dire the situation was.

“But we were elected to work and from day 1 we have been working from Sunday to Sunday and we still find it exciting and rewarding to be able to address the issues that need to be addressed,” Briceno stated.

The Prime Minister says that Government has been reaching out to everyone because “we are in the same boat” – referring to the COVID-19 pandemic and the country’s terrible economic situation.

“ All of us will benefit if the boat sails,” Briceno said.
