Three people hospitalized due to COVID-19

By Benjamin Flowers: There are three people hospitalized due to COVID-19 according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW).

One patient is also receiving critical care within an intensive care unit.

The Ministry noted that there were five patients who newly recovered from the infection, bringing the national total for recoveries up to 12,198.

The MOHW also said that there are currently 198 suspected cases, which are under investigation.

Countrywide vaccinations continue and the Ministry is calling on Belizeans to take their shots when they have the opportunity to do so.

“We also advise that even after getting vaccinated, persons are to continue wearing a face mask properly in public, maintain consistent physical distancing, avoid social gatherings, and wash and sanitize hands often,” the Ministry added.
