Fisherman shot to the foot

By BBN Staff: Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred just before 2 pm on Friday in Belize City.

Fisherman Michael Welch told police that he was standing on George Street when 2 men approached and one of them pulled out a gun and shot him in the foot.

Welch was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

An investigation is ongoing.
