By BBN Staff: Continued hot, dry, sunny weather will support a rise in mercury this afternoon. Skies will be mostly sunny and little or no rainfall is expected except for a chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms over the mountains this afternoon.
Temperatures will reach 91 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 100 degrees over some inland areas, and 84 in the hills. Tonight, it will be 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 72 inland, and 67 in the hills.
There is a heat alert for inland residents who are advised to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities as much as possible.
Winds are easterly to southeasterly at 10 to 20 knots, the sea state is moderate.
Tides will be low at 7:27 am and 9:42 pm and high at 1:44 pm. The sun sets at 6:13 p.m. and rises Monday morning at 5:26 a.m.
The outlook is for continuing fair and hot weather with little or no rainfall through Monday.
