Belize Police Department hosts COMPSTAT meeting with commanders

By BBN Staff: Today, the Belize Police Department hosted a COMPSTAT meeting with commanders of regions and formations.

Minister of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries, Kareem Musa, along with CEO Kevin Arthurs, were present to observe Senior Police Officers presentations, focusing on their district’s 3 monthly report cards.

The presentations were based on statistics from Jan to March 2021 on their operations, major crimes, policing strategies, community policing, administration, supervision, and human resources.

The department noted that the first 3 months of 2021 crime statistics was one of the best crime statistics report cards compared over the past years since 2014’s first quarter.

During the COMPSTAT session, Kareem Musa, COMPOL Chester Williams, and all the Senior Officers recognized Sr. Supt Marcia Moody, presently Northern Regional Commander for her stellar and outstanding service to her country and the department over the past 34 years.

 Sr. Supt. Moody will retire at the end of July 2021.
