After days and weeks of heat alerts and very hot conditions, today will be relatively cooler and wetter for most areas according to the National Meteorological Service.
Today’s forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies, a few showers, and isolated thunderstorms with brief periods of rain countrywide, slightly increasing this afternoon; then mainly over the South tonight.
High temperatures are 86 degrees along the coast, 90 degrees inland, and 78 in the hills. Tonight, it will be 80 degrees in coastal areas, 75 inland, and 70 at higher elevations.
Winds are East to Southeast at 10 to 20 knots and the sea state is moderate.
High tide is at 7:01 a.m. and 7:01 p.m. and low at 12:54 p.m.
The sun sets at 6:14 p.m. this evening and rises Friday morning at 5:23 a.m.
Showers and thunderstorms will develop on Friday mainly in the center and south, then gradually decrease.
