BREAKING NEWS: Government offers new proposals on salary cut; unions not fazed

By Aaron Humes: The Government of Belize has made new proposals regarding salary cuts and increment freezes to the joint unions.

Both sides are going back to discuss these issues which the union leaders would not detail.

They said the next meeting will take place this coming Thursday.

First Vice President Dean Flowers said the talks almost broke down over the issue of alleged victimization of sympathetic public officers, which the unions will challenge, he said. An attorney in the Public Service was locked out of her email and this is being addressed.
