Turn off your lights

Posted: Thursday, May 6, 2021. 2:17 pm CST.

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Turn off your lights and electrical appliances when you’re not using them says BEL in a campaign to save energy and lower your bill.

Belize Electricity Limited today sent out a text to its customers which makes a lot of sense.

“BEL encourages you to turn off lights when not in use and turn off fans, instead use natural light when possible and open windows to welcome natural breeze,” said the BEL message.

“In these hotter months, your consumption is likely to increase with more electricity used.”

It makes sense to follow their advice and help ourselves in the process.
