Breaking Belize News representatives meet Taiwan Ambassador

By BBN Staff: Today, Chief Executive Officer of Breaking Belize News, Hugh O’Brien; Technical and Marketing Manager, Larry Waight; and Journalist/Website Administrator Zoila Palma met with Taiwan’s Ambassador to Belize, David Chien in San Ignacio.

Discussions included co-operation and collaboration between Taiwan and Belize on focus areas such as agriculture, technology, education and media.

CEO O’Brien thanked Ambassador Chien for Taiwan’s support to Belize and to fostering programs in Belize that support the growth and development of technical skills in Belize.

Waight shared statistics on Breaking Belize News’ expanded success with website views and social media platforms.

In addition, Palma shared with Ambassador Chien her experience visiting Taiwan and BBN’s appreciation for Taiwan’s continued contributions to Belize.

Ambassador Chien extended continued support for the Independent media in Belize and expressed commitment for future collaboration.

Belize and Taiwan established diplomatic relations on October 12, 1989, and have enjoyed a strong diplomatic friendship since then.
