Mother and child burned to death in house fire

By Aaron Humes: Police are seeking one individual in the Cayo District in connection with a horrific incident reported on Friday night.

According to Police, they attended the residence of 36-year-old Kendra Middleton, which they found engulfed in flames.

The yellow-painted, 12-foot by 20-foot, elevated wooden structure was extinguished by fire personnel, and then came the horrific discovery of two bodies inside believed to be those of Kendra and her three-year-old son, who were confirmed to have been at home earlier that evening.

The house is believed to have deliberately been set on fire, which would be charged as arson, but it has not yet been confirmed whether Kendra Middleton and her son were killed beforehand or as a result of the fire.

Police are said to have detained one person for questioning in connection with this matter.
