By Rubén Morales Iglesias: After the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, riders have taken to the road and Cayo was no exception with Jafari Castro of Project BZE winning the first race held there on Sunday morning.
The cycling race held on La Loma Luz Boulevard in Santa Elena was organized by Zahir Figueora said Hao Cheng Lee of PROJECT BZE.
“This will now be a weekly event so that we can further the development of our local cyclists,” Figueroa said.
Wasani Wanigi Castro also of PROJECT BZE was 2nd, Angel Tzib of Westrac finished 3rd, Myron Muñoz was 4th, while Henry Li of PROJECT BZE was 5th.
The 1st Junior rider was Renan Codd.
Jamid Martinez finished as the 1st Amateur rider while Tyler Tejeda was the Youngest rider to finish.
