By Rubén Morales Iglesias: On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Mesopotamia Area representative Shyne Barrow on Saturday distributed 250 Mother’s Day bags of groceries to unemployed mothers in the Mesopotamia Division in Belize City.
“None of us can truly understand what it is like to be unemployed for over a year due to this COVID-19 State of Emergency,” Barrow said.
“So many of the working class have been forced into poverty because of COVID-19 with no help and no plan from the Government when the economy will reopen so they can get back to work.”
Barrow thanked his “generous donors Tiffany Williams, Mike Williams, Sheree Burgess, Vanessa Jenkins, Gwenda Flowers, Georgia Barnett, Ernestine Augustus, and Eva Gabourel.”
“I will always be here for the People in Mesopotamia, especially in times of crisis,” Barrow added wishing the mothers of Belize “HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!”
