Belize listed among safest destinations to travel this summer

MSN Lifestyle listed Belize as 1 of 11 safest destinations to travel this summer.

Belize is 1 of only 15 countries in the world listed on a Level 2 travel advisory (exercise increased caution due to COVID-19 and crime) from the U.S. State Department.

Due to the COVID-19 situation in Belize, the US Centers for Disease control has also issued a level 2 travel health notice.

Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test.

Those that have not been vaccinated need to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken within 96 hours of travel or a negative antigen test result produced within 48 hours of travel.

Visitors must also have proof of a reservation at a Gold Standard hotel or resort.
