Cayo West representative Jorge ‘Milin’ Espat honours mothers in Mother’s Day programme

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Cayo West representative Jorge ‘Milin’ Espat held a Mother’s Day programme in San Jose Succotz to honour mothers.

On hand for the occasion were David Kuan-Chou Chien, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and the Minister of Human Development, Families and Indigenous People’s Affairs, Dolores Balderamos – Garcia.

“Today, as we honor our mothers and their unconditional love, support and dedication to their families, we also honor all those women who also give of themselves to make their communities better ones,” said Espat.

“It was a pleasure then, to showcase the products and services offered by the Kichpan Kananten Succotz Women’s Group, the YWCA of Belmopan, and Mahogany Heights Women’s Group to His Excellency, David Kuan-Chou Chien, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and Minister of Human Development, Families and Indigenous People’s Affairs, Honorable Dolores Balderamos – Garcia,” Espat added on a Facebook post of the occasion.

The post also said that representative Espat is very thankful for the continued relationship between Taiwan and Belize for it “will bring added progress to our Cayo West Constituency.”

Espat promised to continue “working along with the women of this constituency to create programs for their professional growth.”

“To all those of you who made this day quite memorable, thank you!” the statement said.
