Costa Rica beat US 3-2, win 2021 Concacaf Futsal Championship Final

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Costa Rica came from behind to beat the United States 3-2 and won the 2021 Concacaf Futsal Championship in Guatemala City on Sunday.

Luciano Gonzalez scored first for the United States, but Daniel Gomez and Juan Cordero got fast goals to put Costa Rica ahead 2-1.

Zach Reget tied it for the US at 2-2, but Gomez converted again to give the Ticos the 3-2 win and their third consecutive Concacaf Futsal Championship at the Domo Polideportivo in Guatemala City.

Guatemala took third place by defeating Panama 3-2 in overtime.

Costa Rica, the US, Guatemala, and Panama will represent Concacaf at the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Lithuania in September.
