Belize City Mayor Bernard Wagner honours Sir Colville Young

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: “In April we congratulated him on his shining legacy, and today, Mayor Bernard Wagner along with our Belize City Council staff had the opportunity to thank Sir Colville Young personally for his extensive years of service to our country,” said the Belize City Council on Facebook and on the Belize City Council website belizecitycouncil.org.

The statement said Sir Colville Young visited the City Hall on Tuesday morning where “he was warmly received by Mayor Wagner and presented with a token of appreciation, commending him for his twenty-eight years of dedication and selfless service.”

The city councilors and staff then met the former Governor-General as he toured the Belize City Council’s departments.

Sir Colville Young resigned as Governor-General of Belize at the end of April.

“We thank you again, Sir Colville Young, and wish you nothing but the best in the upcoming chapter of your life,” the statement ended.
