By Zoila Palma: Prime Minister John Briceño said in his weekly address that the consultations with unions and social partners continue as Government implements an economic recovery plan for Belize.

“Some might find tensions between the Government and those demanding better governance an issue but, let me say that industrial action is a right and we came to Government on the pivot of good governance,” Briceño stated.

Briceño says that his administration is about solving problems even in times of a global pandemic.

“Together with farmers, we are solving the issue of sugar cane production. We have implemented a vaccine program to make sure Belizeans in remote villages have access to the vaccines,”  Briceño said.

With relation to the Government’s Plan Belize manifesto, the Prime Minister said that they are centered on the farm-to-table policy to grow what we eat and eat what we grow.
