By Aaron Humes: Prime Minister John Briceno is giving an update on the negotiations and consultations with the social partners, including the trade unions.
He reminded that in addition to the salary cuts, and increment freezes on salaries of public officers and teachers making over $12,000, the Government was cutting expenditure in various other areas, leading to ongoing industrial action.
The Government has now responded to the Joint Unions with undertakings it has agreed to as of today, ahead of a meeting on Thursday.
